I’m Genesis Urena, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, founder of New Hope Psychotherapy LCSW, LLC, and practicing counselor at Wellsprings Counseling Center (NJ) and Psychotherapy & Consultation Services, PLLC (NY). I am here to provide you with a supportive environment that will facilitate the change and growth you are seeking. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming and daunting, so I strive to provide an empowering space for you to feel comfortable exploring challenging life experiences. Your success in treatment is my number one focus, and I will meet you where you are to walk you through to the next level.

I am passionate about working alongside trauma survivors, as well as individuals and families looking to overcome challenging transitions in their personal, professional, and spiritual lives. I believe therapy can take you on a fulfilling journey of self-discovery, healing and spiritual awakening. I am bilingual (English and Spanish) and eager to work alongside individuals and families battling depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, career/academic changes, and family issues.
